Özet
Easily accessible hemogram-derived parameters
have gained the attention of physicians recently. These
are simple, practical, and economical parameters that
were found useful in the prediction of many clinical
problems. They are often used as a sign of chronic
inflammation. In chronic inflammatory conditions,
their levels are elevated. Chronic inflammation has
been linked with the pathogenesis of many different diseases and their complications. Neutrophil to
lymphocyte ratio (NLR) is one of the most important and popular hemogram biomarkers showing
chronic inflammation.
