Özet

The incubation period of ra-bies is approximately one to three months. Rabies is almost always fatal when the virus reaches the central nervous system (CNS). Postexposure prophylaxis should be administered as soon as possible after the exposure. It is of no benefit when the CNS symptoms appear which is indicative of the virus arriving the CNS.2,3 Their patient showed CNS symptoms and signs suggestive of clinical rabies, then he was administered rabies im-munoglobulin and a Vero-cell rabies vaccine. He died despite medical support
