Özet
In this study, the persimmon 'Hachiya' was grafted on two-year old Diospyros lotus L. seedling rootstocks in the nursery conditions. T-budding and chip budding were performed by hand and chip buddings were performed with two different manual grafting tools. The buddings were done on the 1st dates of March, April, May, July, August, and September of 2011 and 2012. The highest success (86.7% and 76.7%, respectively to year) and sprouting rate (76.7% and 66.7%, respectively to year) were obtained with chip budding by hand performed on August I, 2011 and April 1, 2012. The highest mean shoot length and diameter were obtained in the case of chip budding by hand performed on August I in both years. Among all parameters the best type of budding was chip budding by hand. The manual chip budding tool (especially the 'King' tool) also produced good results. The lowest results in all parameters were obtained in T-budding by hand. Budding period on April I and August 1 were the most appropriate and the results obtained were the highest in all parameters.
