The relationship between pre-service teachers’ lifelong learning tendencies and the quality of university life

Özet
This study aims to examine the relationship between pre-service teachers’ lifelong learning tendencies and their perceptions about the quality of university life with respect to certain variables (their gender, subjectareas, and graduation status).The pre-service teachers (n= 552) in the spring semester of the 2014-2015 academic year at Abant Izzet Baysal University, Bolu-Turkey formed the study group, and it was designed as a survey study. The quantitative data were collected through a “Quality of Faculty Life Scale” and a “Lifelong Learning Tendencies Scale”. The data were analyzed using the SSPS for Windows 20 Program and for the analysis of the data, the mean and standard deviation scores were calculated, an independent samples t-test was used and the Pearson productmoment correlation coefficient scores were calculated. The results of the study revealed a significant relationship between the quality of faculty life and the lifelong learning tendencies of pre-service teachers. © Kamla-Raj 2016.
