dc.description.abstractDuring the first years of the Republic, music education had a primary importance in the public education for the formation, development and peculiar outcome of value judgements, which were required for the national unity and integrity. Community centers were designed for the purpose of developing and extending the music education, which was planned with a distinctive content in line with "modernity" targets, within the public. Music education became an important part of modern programs that were prepared within the scope of cultural politics of the Republic and was approached in accordance with the principles of "attaining the level required by the modern age in all fields of life" just like in the fields of painting, sculpture, architecture. It was aimed to provide the social transformation through conveying the music education to all layers of the society. Time was very limited for the nation to comprehend the innovations in music during the first years of the Republic. A number of developments were experienced on this subject in spite of the difficulties and challenges caused by the change and transformation. In this study, it was aimed to examine the developments that were provided by the single party administration of the period through planned cultural movements and evaluate the comprehension features and tendencies regarding the extension of music education and art in the society in the light of written - visual documents. According to these evaluations, it is expected to make a contribution to the formation of formal and informal music education programs together with requirements and thoughts that are special to present day with a more efficient understanding.en_US
dc.description.abstractCumhuriyetin ilk yıllarında, ulusal birlik ve bütünlüğün sağlanmasında gerekli olan değer yargılarının oluşması, gelişmesi ve giderek özgün bir sonuca ulaşması için müzik eğitimi halkın eğitiminde öncelikli bir öneme sahipti. Halkevleri, “çağdaşlık” hedefleri doğrultusunda kendine özgü bir içerikle planlanan müzik eğitiminin halkın içinde yeşertilmesi, geliştirilmesi ve yaygınlaştırılması için tasarlanmıştı. Müzik eğitimi, Cumhuriyet’in kültür politikaları çerçevesinde hazırlanan çağdaş programların önemli bir parçası olmuş, resim, heykel, mimarlık alanlarında olduğu gibi, “hayatın her alanında modern çağın gerektirdiği seviyeye ulaşma” ilkeleri doğrultusunda ele alınmıştı. Müzik eğitiminin halkın bütün katmanlarına ulaştırılması yoluyla ise toplumun dönüşümünün sağlanmasına katkı getirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Cumhuriyet’in ilk yıllarında ulus olarak müzikteki yenilikleri kavramak için zaman çok kısıtlıydı. Değişimin ve dönüşümün zorluğuna, yarattığı olumsuzluklara karşın bu konuda birçok gelişme yaşandı. Bu çalışmada, dönemin tek partili yönetiminin planlı kültür hareketleri ile oluşturduğu gelişmelerin irdelenmesiyle; müzik eğitiminin ve sanatının toplum içinde yaygınlaştırılmasına ilişkin kavrayış özelliklerinin ve yönelimlerin yazılı - görsel belgeler ışığında değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu değerlendirmeler sonucunda günümüze özgü gereksinimler ve düşüncelerle birlikte örgün ve yaygın müzik eğitimi programlarının daha etkili bir anlayışla oluşturulmasına katkı sağlanabileceği umulmaktadır.
