Özet
PAPP-A is produced in high concentration by trophoblasts during
pregnancy. Except for IGF-dependent IGFBP-4 protease activity, the
functional significance of PAPP-A is unclear. IGF-dependent IGFBP-4
protease activity has been described in a variety of cells, including
fibroblasts, osteoblasts, endometrial stromal cells, decidual cells, and granulosa cells.
