Özet
Bellis perennis L. has been used traditionally in the treatment of bruises, wounds, eczema and skin boils. An ointment prepared from n-butanol fraction of common daisy flowers were investigated for wound healing activity using in vivo experimental model in Wistar albino rats. Measurement of the wound closure area and histopathological examination of the tissue samples were applied for evaluation by using 12 male adult Wistar rats in the experiment. Six wounds (4 mm) were created for each animal by using circular excision wound model. The first two wounds were treated topically with HOTBp (hydrophilic ointment treatment containing n-butanol fraction).
