There has been a great deal of interest in the use of the argon laser to produce chorioretinal venous anastomoses in the treatment of vision-threatening macular edema following central retinal vein occlusion. Complications associated with this procedure include: choroidal neovascularization, vitreous hemorrhage, preretinal fibrosis and fraction retinal detachment and choroidovitreal neovascularization. We report a case of choroidovitreal neovascularization following laser-induced chorioretinal venous anastomosis formation in a patient with central retinal vein occlusion.en_US
