Primary chondroblastic osteosarcoma of the uterus: Immunohistochemical examination and differential diagnosis with malignant mixed mullerian tumor

Özet
İskelet sistemi dışında görülen osteosarkomlar nadir görülen tümörlerdir. Bununla birlikte uterusun primer osteosarkomları oldukça nadir olup literatürde yalnızca 21 olgu bildirimiştir. Genellikle postmenopozal dönemde görülen bu tümörler klinik olarak agresif seyrederler. Malign Mikst Müllerien Tümör (MMMT) ile ayırıcı tanısı önem taşır. 61 yaşında postmenopozal dönemde olan bir kadının uterusunda kitle tesbit edilmiş olup, kitlenin histopatolojik ve immünohistokimyasal analizi sonucunda tanısı primer kondroblastik osteosarkom olarak verilmiş ve çok nadir görüldüğü için sunulmuştur.
Extraskeletal osteosarcomas are rarely observed tumors. Besides this, primary osteosarcomas of uterus are rarer, and only 21 cases have been reported in the literature. It is generally seen at the postmenopausal pe- riod, and it progresses quite aggressively. Particularly, malignant mixed mullerian tumors (MMMTs) are important for differential diagnosis. Histo- pathological and immunohistochemical examination of a mass that was detected in the uterus of a 61-year-old postmenopausal patient revealed the diagnosis of primary chondroblastic osteosarcoma, and this very rare case is presented here
