Özet
Bu araştırmada ülkemiz üniversitelerinde son dönemlerde yoğun olarak açılmaya başlanan uzaktan eğitim merkezlerinin yürüttükleri program çeşitliliği ve sayıları istatistiksel olarak analiz edilerek bu merkezlerin mevcut durumu incelenmiştir. Araştırmada merkezlerin internet sayfaları, resmi gazetede yönetmeliklerinin yayımlandığı tarihler, ÖSYM tercih kılavuzunda bulunan uzaktan eğitim programları ve öğrenci kontenjanları gibi bilgiler veri kaynağı olarak kullanılmıştır. Yapılan incelemede ülkemizde devlet (67) ve vakıf (31) üniversitelerinde toplam 98 uzaktan eğitim merkezi bulunmaktadır. Araştırmada incelenen veriler bu merkezlere aittir. YÖK istatistik verilerine göre 2014-2015 öğretim yılında uzaktan eğitim yoluyla öğrenim gören toplam öğrenci sayısı 59282'dir.
In this study, the current situation of variety in education programs implemented by distance education centers were examined. Also, the number of those courses were analyzed statistically. In the study, the data were collected from the centers' Web sites, the regulations published in the Official Gazette, and the choice handbook of Assessment, Selection and Placement Center of Turkey. The examination showed that totally 98 universities - 67 public and 31 private universities - have established distance education centers, and those centers were examined in this study. According to the statistical data of Council of Higher Education in 2014-2015 academic year, there are 59282 students having education through distance learning.
