Özet
Bu araştırmada, spor gazeteciliğinde internet ve sosyal paylaşım siteleri gibi ortamların yaygınlaşmasıyla yaşanan değişim incelenmiştir. Nitel araştırma yönetmeleriyle gerçekleştirilen çalışmada, Türkiye genelinde yayın yapan 5 gazetenin spor servisi müdürü ve 2 spor gazetesinin yöneticisi ile görüşme yapılmıştır. Çalışma verilerine derinlemesine mülakat yöntemiyle erişilmiştir. Katılımcıların görüşlerine göre okuyucular spor haberlerine, gazetelerin internet siteleri ve tematik televizyon kanalları aracılığıyla hızlı bir şekilde ulaştığından, gazeteler daha derinlemesine haberler yapmaya yönelmiştir. Ancak en popüler branş olan futbolda en fazla taraftarı olan Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe ve Beşiktaş'la ilgili haberlere ağırlık veren gazetelerin özel haber yapma imkânları azalmıştır. Çoğu kulüp, muhabirlere kapılarını kapatmış ya da sınırlama getirmiştir. Gazetelerin çoğunluğu, birbirinin benzeri haberlerle yayınlanmaktadır. Araştırma ve incelemeye dayalı habercilik azalmıştır. İnternet, gazetelerin en önemli haber kaynaklarından biri haline gelmiştir. Gazetelerin muhabir ihtiyacı azalmıştır. Bir sayfayı hazırlamak için bir editör ve bilgisayar operatörü yeterli olmaktadır. Ancak bununla birlikte internet siteleri, spor gazetecilerine yeni iş imkânları yaratmıştır. İnternetin yaygınlaşmasıyla gazetelerin spor sayfaları, daha hızlı habercilik yapan yeni medya ile yarışmakta zorlanmaktadır. İnternet, diğer alanlarda olduğu gibi spor haberciliğine de kolaycılığı getirmiş, bu da gazete içeriklerinin nitelik olarak erozyona uğramasına neden olmuştur. Katılımcılar, internetin getirdiği kolaylıkları kullanmaktan memnunluk duyarken, haber içeriklerinin zayıflamasından yakınmıştır.
This research investigates the change experienced in sports journalism caused by internet and social media environments that have become widespread and popular. In the study that utilized qualitative research methods, interviews were done with the sports desk managers of five newspapers published in Turkey, the sports desk managers of two sport newspaper. The datas were collected through interviews done in depth. When the readers have been able to reach the developments more speedily through the internet sites of the newspapers and thematic TV channels, newspapers have displayed a tendency to find more varied news in their fields. However, the possibility to produce special news about Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş with the highest number of fans in football; the most popular branch of sports, have decreased in the newspapers that regularly prepare news about them. Many clubs have closed their doors to journalists or put some limitations. Majority of the papers publish similar news. Journalism related to research or investigation has substantially decreased. The necessity for journalists has decreased in the newspapers. Internet has become one of the most important news resources for the newspapers. It has become sufficient to have an editor and a computer operator to prepare a page for publication. However, internet web sites have also created new employment opportunities. The sports pages of the newspapers have difficulty keeping up with the media that can produce news more speedily. Internet has created the concept of copying in journalism that has caused erosion in the quality of news content in the papers. Sports journalists are happy with the convenience internet has provided, however they also complain about the weakness of the news content.
