dc.description.abstractThe cyclic ketones can be converted to their aldol-type condensation products by the W(CO)(6)/CCl4/UV system. The reaction was monitored by recording the IR and GC-MS spectra of the reaction mixture. The results support a mechanism that includes an intermediate carbene complex of tungsten.en_US
