Özet
The plurality of religions has always been a reality in human societies, but relations between members of different religions seem to have taken the form of a monologue, often consisting of the refutation of other religions. Intra-religious or interreligious dialogue is a relatively new 2 Ghazzālī, Savānīh , 15 (my translation); for an English translation, phenomenon and there are still heated discussions on its nature and goals. This book, which is the outcome of Alwani Ghazali’s PhD thesis, supervised by Muhammad Kamal and Lewis Mayo, submitted to the University of Melbourne, examines what Ghazali regards as interreligious dialogue models from the life of the Prophet Muhammad and evaluates their relevance in contemporary Malaysian and Australian contexts.
