    Anal atresia, abnormal genitalia, and absent thumb: congenital malformations associated with mosaic ring chromosome 13: Because of the deletion of a segment of the chromosome during the formation of a ring, several clinical findings may be associated with ring chromosomes. Ring chromosome 13 is one of such disorders in which the genotype-phenotype correlation is stronger by virtue of the accumulating literature. It can be associated with multiple congenital abnormalities and severe mental retardation. We report a case with mosaic ring chromosome 13 whose prenatal ultrasound revealed bilateral ventriculomegaly. Anal atresia, unidentifiable external genitalia, and an absent thumb were observed in the postmortem examination.

    On convergence of nonlinear singular integral operators with non-isotropic kernels

    Here we give some approximation theorems concerning pointwise convergence and rate of pointwise convergence of nonlinear singular integral operators with non-isotropic kernels of the form T-omega,T-lambda(f)(s) = integral(Rn) K-omega (vertical bar s - t vertical bar(lambda), f(t)) dt, where the kernel function satisfies Lipschitz condition and some singularity assumptions. Here Lambda is a non-empty set of indices, 0 is an accumulation point of Lambda and vertical bar s - t vertical bar(lambda) denotes the non-isotropic distance between the points s, t is an element of R-n.

    Some generalizations of unbounded order convergence types in Riesz spaces and related topics

    Bu tezin temel amaçlarından biri yarınormları yarınormsularla değiştirerek çoklu-normlu uzay kavramını çoklu-normsu uzaylara genellemek ve bu yeni uzayın temel özelliklerini incelemektir ve çoklu-normsular arasındaki sürekli operatörleri ele almaktır. Diğer ana amaç ise sınırsız yerel solid Riesz uzay kavramını tanımlamak ve bu uzayın temel özelliklerini incelemektir. Tezin geri kalanında ise, bu genellemelerden ayrı olarak topolojik uzay yapısı bir takım reel değerli fonksiyonlar tarafından karakterize edilebilir mi problemine odaklanılmıştır; cevap ise olumludur: 0-1-değerli quasimetrikler ve Kakutani gösterim teoremi kullanmaksızın ve Riesz uzayın Arşimedyan olup olmadığına bakılmaksızın reel sayılarda geçerli olan her eşitsizliğin herhangi bir Riesz uzayda da geçerli olduğu ispatlanmıştır.
