Özet
Amaç: Genç sağlıklı bireylerde sabah ve akşam saatlerinde alınan koroid kalınlık ölçümlerini karşılaştırmak. Gereç ve Yöntem: Yaş ortalaması 24,43±2,81 olan 30 sağlıklı birey (16 kadın,14 erkek) çalışmaya dahil edildi. Kronik ve sistemik patolojisi olan, göz cerrahisi geçirmiş ve 3 diyoptrinin üzerinde sferik veya 1 diyoptrinin üzerinde silindirik refraksiyon kusuru olan olgular dahiledilmedi. Retina ve koroid kalınlık ölçümleri santral fovea, santral foveadan 1500 µm temporal ve 1500 µm nazali içermekte idi. Başlangıç optik koherans tomografi ölçümleri sabah 8:30'da alındı ve ikinci ölçümler ise 17:00'de alındı. Verilerin istatistiksel analizi eşleştirilmiş örneklem t testi kullanılarak yapıldı. Bulgular: Saat 8:30'da alınan retina kalınlık ölçümleri nazalden temporale doğru sırasıyla 348,63±15,30, 213,10±16,78 ve 323,33±18,23µm idi. Koroid kalınlık ölçümleri sırasıyla 249,30±66,36, 324,63±63,59 ve 310,83±59,22 µm idi. Saat 17:00'de alınan retina kalınlık ölçümleri nazalden temporale doğru sırasıyla 349,23±15,90, 213,90±16,10 ve 324,70±17,12µm idi. Koroid kalınlık ölçümleri sırasıyla 260,80±62,44,336,87±63,62, 322,10±56,06 µm idi. Sabah ve akşam saatlerinde alınan retina kalınlık ölçümleri istatistiksel olarak farklı değildi (nazalp=0,55, santral p=0,39 ve temporal p=0,14). Sabah ve akşam saatlerinde alınan koroid kalınlık ölçümleri istatistiksel olarak farklı idi (nazalp<0,001, santral p<0.001, temporal p=0,016).Sonuç: Retinal kalınlıkta istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark yoktu. Ancak akşam ölçümlerinde koroid kalınlığında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı artış tespit edildi.
Objective: To compare the choroidal thickness measurements of healthy young subjects taken in the morning and evening hours. Material and Method: 30 healthy subjects (16 women, 14 men) with a mean age of 24.43±2.81 years were included in the study. Cases with chronic and systemic pathology, having undergone ophthalmic surgery and having more than 3 diopters of spherical or 1 diopter cylindrical refractive error were excluded. The measurements of retinal and choroidal thickness comprised the central foveal, 1500 mm nasal and 1500 mm temporal segments from the centre of fovea. Baseline optical coherence tomography measurements were taken at 8:30 and the second measurements were taken at 17:00. The statistical analysis of the data were performed using paired samples t test. Results: Retinal thickness measurements taken at 8:30 from nasal to temporal segments were 348.63±15.30, 213.10±16.78 and 323.33±18.23 µm respectively. Choroidal thickness measurements from nasal to temporal segments were 249.30±66.36, 324.63±63.59 and 310.83±59.22 µm respectively. The retinal thickness measurements taken at 17:00 from nasal to temporal segments were 349.23±15.90, 213.90±16.10 and 324,70±17,12 µm respectively. Choroidal thickness measurements from nasal to temporal segments were 260.80±62.44, 336.87±63.62, 322.10±56.06 µm respectively. Retinal thickness measurements taken in the morning and evening hours were not statistically different (nasal p=0.55, central p=0.39 and temporal p=0.14). Choroidal thickness measurements taken in the morning and evening hours were statistically different (nasal p<0.001, central p<0.001, temporal p=0.016). Conclusion: There was no statistically significant difference in retinal thickness. However, statistically significant increase in choroidal thickness was detected in evening measurements.
