dc.description.abstractSürdürülebilirlik; kaynakların, çevrenin ve geleceğin korunması için gerekli bir unsurdur. Nüfusun artışı, kentlerin hızla büyümesi ve bilinçsizce yapılan tüketim gibi sebepler sürdürülebilirlik konusunda adımlar atılmasını gerektirmiştir. Nüfusu hızla artan ve yüz ölçümü hızla büyüyen kentler, kaynaklar için büyük bir tehdit oluşturmaktadır. Tezin ana konusunu oluşturan yavaş şehir, bir felsefeyle birlikte çeşitli kriterlere sahiptir. Bu birliğin içinde yer almak isteyen kent, yavaş şehir felsefesini benimsemeli ve kriterlerine uyum sağlamalıdır. Tezin mekânsal alanı olan Mudurnu ise tarihî Osmanlı mimarisine uygun evleri, ahilik ritüelleri, az nüfusu ile yavaş şehre oldukça uygun bir ilçedir. Çalışmanın amacı, 2018'de yavaş şehir olan Mudurnu'nun cittaslow ünvanının sürdürülebilirliğini halkın algısıyla ilişkilendirerek incelemektir. Bu noktada sürdürülebilirlik ve Mudurnu incelenmiş, ardından ilçenin yavaş şehir olma süreci ve kriterlere uyumuna bakılmıştır. Kentte yavaş şehir sürdürülebilirliği ile ilgili sorunlar bulunduğu belirlenmiştir. Bu sorunların sebepleri ve sürdürülebilirliğin önemli bir paydaşı olan halkla yapılan görüşme sonuçları son bölümde içerik ve betimsel analiz ile sunulmuştur. Buna göre, halkın yavaş şehir felsefesi ve yavaş şehrin ilçedeki yaşama katacakları hakkında yeterli ilgisi/ fikri yoktur. Halkın ilgisizliği, yerel yönetim ve sivil toplum kuruluşlarının konuya ilgisizliği sonucunda ilçenin yavaş şehir birliğine uygunluğu azalmıştır. Geçmişte karşıladığı birçok kriteri artık karşılayamamaktadır, vadettiği kriterlerde ise bir değişim yoktur.en_US
dc.description.abstractSustainability; is a crucial element for the preservation of resources, the environment, and the future. Population growth, rapid urbanization, and indiscriminate consumption have necessitated steps towards sustainability. Growing populations and expanding urban areas pose a significant threat to resources. The main topic of the thesis, the slow city, comes with a philosophy and various criteria. A city aspiring to be part of this union must embrace the slow city philosophy and adhere to its criteria. Mudurnu, with its historical Ottoman architecture, ahiism rituals, and low population, is quite suitable for a slow city. The aim of the study is to examine the sustainability of Mudurnu, which became a slow city in 2018, by associating its cittaslow status with public perception. Sustainability and Mudurnu were examined, followed by an assessment of the town's process of becoming a slow city and its compliance with the criteria. Problems related to slow city sustainability were identified in the town. The reasons for these problems and the results of interviews with the public, a significant stakeholder in sustainability, are presented in the final section through content and descriptive analysis. Consequently, there is insufficient interest/awareness among the public regarding the slow city philosophy and its potential contributions to life in the town. The indifference of the public, along with the indifference of local government and civil society organizations, has reduced the town's suitability for the slow city union. It can no longer meet many of the criteria it once met in the past, and there has been no change in the criteria it promised to fulfill.en_US
