Özet
Hanbelî mezhebi, Ehl-i Hadis'in içinden çıkan, Ahmed b. Hanbel (ö. 241/855)'in görüşleri etrafında oluşan ve ona nispetle anılan bir mezheptir. Temel felsefesini ve prensiplerini kurucusu Ahmed b. Hanbel'in fıkıh, kelâm, hadis ve ahlaka dair görüşleri oluşturur. İslam'ı anlamada Kitap ve Sünnet ile Selef olarak isimlendirilen Sahabe ve Tâbiîn sözleri esas alınır; şahsi rey ve akli istidlallere mecbur kalmadıkça başvurulmaz. Bu nedenle Hanbelîler kendilerini "Ehl-i Sünnet-i Hassa" olarak isimlendirmişler ve Ehl-i Sünnet'in temsilcisi ve fırka-i nâciye olarak görmüşlerdir. Bu ekol, Çağdaş Müslüman düşünce akımlarında ve özellikle de halk kültüründe etkisini hâlâ devam ettirmektedir. İslam dünyasında Yeni Selefilik diye adlandırılan görüşlerin Ahmed b. Hanbel ve Hanbelîliğe dayandırılması da bunu göstermektedir
Hanbalî school is a school which has its roots in Ahl al-Hadîs and formed its basics around the thoughts of Ahmad b. Hanbal, especially his juridical, theological and ethical views and mostly his views on hadiths. Hanbalî school rests itself on the Holy Qur’an, hadiths and the views of the two pioneer generations i.e. the companions of the prophet and those who followed them. Personal opinions and reasoning are not favored ways of deducing any verdict if there is no any compulsory cause whatever. Hence they called themselves as the Ahl al-Sunnah alHâssa/Unique Ahl al-Sunnah and considered themselves as the sole representative of Ahl alSunnah and firqa al-nâjiyah/the saved assembly. This school has still has its impact on contemporary Islamic movements and on folk Islam. The fact that the movement called neosalafism rests itself on Ahmad b. Hanbal shows its perpetual efficacy on these factions
