Özet
Bu çalışmada ortaöğretim okullarında çalışan öğretmenlerin, okullarında alınan kararlara katılma düzeylerine ilişkin görüşlerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma evrenini, 2004-2005 öğretim yılında, Bolu İli merkezinde bulunan ortaöğretim okullarında en az bir yıl süreyle görev yapan 526 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemi ise olasılığa dayalı örnekleme yöntemlerinden “basit tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemi” ile seçilen 320 öğretmenden oluşmaktadır. Veriler, 10 sorusu öğretimsel, 17 sorusu da yönetimsel kararla ilgili 27 sorudan oluşan bir anket ile toplanmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; öğretmenler, öğretimsel kararlara “Oldukça”, yönetimsel kararlara ise “Biraz” düzeyinde katıldıkları görüşündedir. Öğretmenlerin öğretimsel ile yönetimsel kararlara katılma düzeylerine ilişkin görüşleri arasında anlamlı bir fark vardır. Bu farka göre; öğretmenlerin öğretimsel kararlara katılma düzeyleri, yönetimsel kararlara katılma düzeylerinden daha yüksektir. Öğretmenlerin öğretimsel ve yönetimsel kararlara katılma düzeylerine ilişkin görüşlerinde; cinsiyet, mesleki kıdem, çalışılan okul türü, branş grubu değişkenlerine göre anlamlı bir fark yoktur.
In this study, it is aimed to reveal the degree of participation level of secondary school teachers on decision- making process in their school settings. The target population consists of 526 secondary school teachers who work at the schools that are located in central Bolu, and have been working at least for one year in their current positions. The sample of the study is 320 teachers selected by “simple random sampling method”. A questionnaire used to collect data for the study included 27 items; 10 of them were related to teaching related decisions and 17 of them related to decision making processes. According to the findings, although the teachers were participating “Considerably” in educational decision making process, however; participated “A little” in administrative decision making process. A significant difference has been observed between the educational and administrative decision making processes for the participants. This difference implies that the teachers’ degree of participation level in educational decision making process is higher than the degree of participation in administrative decision making process. However, no significant difference have been observed in teachers’ level of participation in educational and administrative decision- making process in terms of the variables such as gender, degree of profession, the type of the school, and the branch.
