Effectiveness of web-based inset programme : a case study

| dc.description.abstract | This study aims to examine primary school teachers' opinions about the effectiveness of the web - based INSET programme in which they had participated. The subjects were primary school teachers (n=83) working in the Bolu city centre in the spring semester of the 2008-2009 academic year. The qualitative data were collected using a semi - structured interview form. Content analysis and continuous comparison techniques were used to analyze the data collected and they were reported using frequency and percentage values. Even though teachers reported positive changes in their computer and Internet-related knowledge and skills, opinions, their uses in classroom activities, their pupils' uses of these technologies, they pointed out some barriers regarding the implementation of what they have learned in the INSET programme. | en_US |
