dc.description.abstractBin sekiz yüz yılı aşkın bir geçmişe sahip olan Süryani Ortodoks geleneği, bu uzun tarihi arka planında nice yazar, şair, edebiyatçı, musikişinas, hattat ve tarihçi din adamları yetiştirmiştir. Yirminci yüzyılda zayıflayan bu geleneği canlandırmaya çalışan, Türkiye'deki temsilcilerinden biri de Horiepiskopos Samuel Akdemir'dir. Horiepiskopos Samuel Akdemir, çok güçlü bir tahsil görmemesine rağmen, mensubu bulunduğu geleneği daha da ileriye taşıma çabasında bir ömür sürüp, geride birçok eser bırakmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe Syriac Orthodox tradition, with a history of more than thousand eight hundred years, trained many writers, poets, men of letter, musicians, calligraphers and historian reverends within its long historical background. One of the representatives in Turkey who is trying to revive this tradition that is weakening in the twentieth century, is Chorepiscopos Samuel Akdemir. Although his low level of education Chorepiscopos Samuel Akdemir spend his whole life in struggle to bring the tradition he belongs to, forward.en_US
