Özet
Her yıl özel yetenek sınavlarına binlerce öğrenci girmektedir. Farklı liselerden ve/veya farklı alanlarından mezun olan bu adaylar sözü edilen sınavlarda alan ve alan dışı aday olarak tanımlanmakta ve bu farklılığa göre katsayılar uygulanmaktadır. Bu araştırmada, özellikle eğitim fakültelerinin müzik eğitimi anabilim dallarında uygulanmakta olan özel yetenek sınavlarında yerleştirmeye esas olan ÖSS (Öğrenci Seçme Sınavı), AOBP (Ağırlıklı Ortaöğretim Başarı Puanı) ÖYSP (Özel Yetenek Sınav Puanı) ve bu puanlara ait katsayıların alan ve alan dışı mezun adaylara yansıması karşılaştırmalı olarak incelenmiştir. Genel tarama modelinin uygulandığı ve betimsel bir nitelik taşıyan araştırmada, toplam katsayılar incelendiğinde alan mezunu adayların avantajlı olduğu fakat alan dışı mezun adayların ise özellikle ÖSS ve AOBP de daha avantajlı bir durumda bulundukları saptanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda YÖK (Yüksek Öğretim Kurumu), MEB (Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı), alan ve alan dışı mezun adaylara da önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
Thousand of students enter special competence examinations every year. These candidates graduated from different high schools or/and from different fields are defined as “candidates from the field” and “candidates out of the field” in these aforcited examinations and different coefficients applied to the students according to this difference. In this study, the reflection of OSS (Student Selection Examination), AOBP (weighted composite score), OYSP (Points of Special Competence Examination) points and their coefficients which are taken as the criteria in Special Competence Examinations on the graduate students from the field and out of the field in the exams conducted particularly at the Faculties of Education and Music Education Departments was investigated comparatively. It was found that the candidates from the field were more advantageous, but the candidates out of the field were more advantageous particularly in OSS and AOBP when the total coefficients were investigated in this descriptive study in which regular scanning model was applied. In the light of the data obtained, recommendations for YOK (The Higher Education Council), MEB (National Ministry of Education), candidates from and out of the field were suggested.
