Öğrencilerin üniversite giriş puanları ile aile içi şiddete maruz kalmaları arasındaki ilişki ve şiddete karşı tutumları

Özet
Bu kesitsel araştırmanın amacı birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin Üniversite Giriş Sınavı’ndan aldıkları puana etki eden kimi faktörleri, puanları ile son bir yıl içinde maruz kaldıkları aile içi şiddet arasındaki ilişkiyi ve öğrencilerin aile içi şiddetle ilgili tutumlarını araştırmaktır. Araştırmaya toplam 316 öğrenci dahil edildi. Üniversite giriş puanı ortalamaları cinsiyeti kız olan öğrencilerde, sigara içmeyenlerde ve Anadolu Lisesi, Fen Lisesi veya Özel Okul mezunu olan öğrencilerde daha yüksek bulundu. Araştırmaya katılanların 1/3’ünün son bir yıl içinde aile içi şiddete maruz kaldığı ve/veya tanıklık ettiği, şiddetin en fazla ebeveyn ve çocuk arasında olduğu görüldü. Ebeveynleri geçmişte şiddete maruz kalan öğrencilerin daha fazla oranda aile içi şiddete maruz kaldığı saptandı. Şiddetin bir çocuk eğitim yöntemi olabileceğini düşünenler; ebeveynleri geçmişte şiddete maruz kalanlar, cinsiyeti erkek olanlar ve sigara içen öğrencilerdir. Aile içi şiddete maruz kalan öğrencilerin Üniversite giriş puanlarının daha düşük olacağı hipotezi doğrulanamadı. Şiddetin çocuk eğitiminde kullanılabileceğini düşündükleri için sigara alışkanlığı olan öğrencilerde aile içi şiddet araştırılmalıdır. Bu araştırma aile içi şiddete maruz kalanların ileriki yaşlarda da bunu normal bir davranış gibi uyguladığını göstermektedir.
The aim of this cross-sectional study is to explore certain factors effecting the points of university entrance examination of first class students, the relationship between the points and domestic violence the have been exposed last year and the attitudes of students towards domestic violence. Total 316 students were included in the study. The mean points of university entrance examination was found higher in girl students, students who do not smoke and graduated from Anatolian, Science and Private High Schools. 1/3rd of the the students included to the study was found that they were experienced or exposed domestic violence within last year and the violence was most often between parents and kids. It was determined that the students whose parents experienced domestic violence in the past has been exposed domestic violence more frequently. The students who think violence as a child education method were the students whose parents experienced domestic violence in the past, boy students and the students who somoke. The hypothesis “students exposed to domestic violence may have low points from the university entrance examination” can not be supported. Domestic violence in the students who smoke must be researched because of they think that violence may be a method in child education. This study reveals that who experiences domestic violence puts it in practice at later ages as if violence were a normal behaviour.
