dc.description.abstractFilistin Uzlaştırma Komisyonu, BM çatısı altında Filistin meselesini çözmek amacıyla gerçekleştirilen en önemli girişimlerden biridir. Komisyon 1948’de güçlü bir şekilde çözüm çalışmalarına girişmiş, ancak 1952’ye kadar devam eden aktif girişimlerinden bir sonuç alamayınca, Filistin meselesine çözüm üretmek konusunda yetersiz olduğunu açıklayarak 1960’lı yılların ilk yarısında sessiz bir şekilde sona ermiştir. Bu çalışmada komisyonun çalışmaları, Türkiye’nin Batılı ülkeler ile birlikte çalıştığı komisyon içindeki rolü ve faaliyetlerinin Türk dış politikası açısından önemi incelenmiş ve komisyonun başarısız olmasının nedenleri irdelenmiştir.en_US
dc.description.abstractPalestine Conciliation Commission was one of the most important initiatives under United Nations to resolve the conflict over Palestine. Embarking on an enormous effort to develop a solution in 1948 and being unable to obtain a favourable result in spite of its active endeavour until 1952, the Commission officially declared its inability to successfully carry out its missions and was abolished in the first half of the 1960s. This study aims to describe the works of the Commission, the importance of the role and activities of Turkey in the Commission together with other western countries for Turkish foreign policy, and the reasons for the Commission’s failure.en_US
