dc.description.abstractEpidural kateter kopması nadir görülebilecek komplikasyonlardan biridir. Kateterin yerleştirilmesi sırasında epidural mesafede 3-5 cm’den fazla bırakılması düğümlenme ve tuzak (entrapman) riskini artırabilmektedir. Kateterin çekilmesi esnasında dirençle karşılaşıldığında nazik bir traksiyon uygulanması, başarısız olunursa özelikle kateterin yerleştirildiği pozisyonda ve belli zaman aralıkları ile traksiyonun yinelenmesi önerilebilir. Görüntüleme metodları ile sekestre parçanın lokalizasyonu belirlenmeye çalışılmalıdır. Hasta asemptomatik ve yetişkin ise kopan parçanın içeride bırakılması, diğer hallerde cerrahi olarak çıkarılması uygun tedavi şeklidir.en_US
dc.description.abstractEpidural catheter breakage is one of the uncommon complications. If the catheter length left in the epidural space during insertion is over 3-5 cm, the risk of knotting and entrapment may increase. While resistance occurred at the time of the catheter removal, gentle traction may be applied, if it fails it may be advised to repeat the traction especially in the position which catheter is inserted firstly at certain time intervals. The localization of sequestrated fragment may be determined via aiding imaging methods. In asymptomatic adult patients, leaving the fragment inside, may be an appropriate approach, otherwise surgical removal should be considered.en_US
