dc.description.abstractAMAÇ: Kornea invazyonu gösteren konjonktiva tümörlerinde geniş limbal eksizyon ardından uygulanan otojenik limbal transplantasyonun oküler yüzey iyileşmesine ve görsel fonksiyona etkilerinin araştırılması. YÖNTEM: Kornea invazyonu (limbal tutulum >%40) gösteren konjonktival epiteliyal neoplazili beş olgu çalışma kapsamına alınmıştır. Geniş konjunktivo-limbal rezeksiyon uygulanan bu 5 olguya diğer gözden yaklaşık 6 x 3.5 mm'lik limbal doku 10/0 monoflaman sütür ile implante edilmiştir. Hastalar daha sonra oküler yüzey iyileşmesi ve görsel fonksiyonlar yönünden takip edilmiştir. BULGULAR: Ortalama izlem süresi 12 aydır (3-36 ay). Beş olguda erken postoperatif dönemde düzgün kornea yüzey iyileşmesi oluşmuştur. SONUÇ: Korneoskleral limbal yüzeyin %40 ve daha fazlasını etkileyen tümör rezeksiyonları sonrası, limbal transplantasyon ile erken dönemde oküler ve görsel rehabilitasyon sağlanabilir.en_US
dc.description.abstractPURPOSE: To determine the effects of autologues limbal transplantation to ocular surface healing and visual function after wide limbal resections of corneal invasion of conjunctival tumors. METHODS: Five patients who had large corneal invasion (>40%) by a conjunctival neoplasia were included in this study. In all patients after wide limbal excisions we performed autologues limbal transplantation from the opposite eye. We transplanted limbal tissue about 6x 3.5 mm in size using separated 10/0 MF sutures. RESULTS: Mean follow-up period was 12 months (3-36 months). All cases had epithelial corneal surface healing at the early postoperative period and they remained stable for the postoperative course. CONCLUSION: Autograft limbal transplantation provides early corneal healing and visual rehabilitation after tumor resections invading more than 40% of the corneal surface.en_US
