Yazarlar Artvin ve Ardahan illerinde botanik bir gezi yapmışlardır. Gezinin iki amacı vardı. Bunların ilki Rhodothamnus sessilifolius ve Necranthus orobanchoides'i aramak ve ikincisi Artvin'in Camili Havzasına TEMA tarafından düzenlenen bilimsel geziye katılmaktı. Rhodothamnus sessilifolius ve Necranthus orobanchoides bulunamadı. Camili'de birkaç toplantıdan sonra, alanın biyolojik zenginliğinin araştırılmasına, yerel halkın bundan nasıl yararlanacağının belirlenmesi ve bu projelerin TEMA başkan yardımcısı sayın Nihat Gökyiğit'in himayesinde yapılmasına karar verildi.
The authors made a botanical trip to Artvin and Ardahan provinces . There were two proposes of the trip. First of them was to look for Rhodothamnus sessilifolius and Necranthus orobanchoides and the second was to participate the scientific excursion which was organized by TEMA to Camili region of Artvin. Rhodothamnus sessilifolius ve Necranthus orobanchoides could not been collected. After some meetings at Camili, it was decided to make preparations to research the area's biological wealth in detail and how the local economy could benefit and that these projects should be carried out under the auspicies of TEMA vice president Mr. Nihat Gökyiğit.
