Background and design: In this retrospective study, we investigated the admittance rate of skin diseases in patients between 13 and 19 years of age in Düzce and Bolu. Materials and methods: A total of 1001 were included. Diseases with a frequency rate of 1% or more were noted based on the hospital records. In addition, the most common 5 cutaneous disorders were subsequently analysed in both female and male patients. Results: Acne vulgaris was the most prevalent (22.4%) skin disease. Contact dermatitis (6.6%), insect bite (3.8%), seborrheic dermatitis (3.6%), scabies (3.3%), psoriasis (2.9%), tinea pedis (2.6%) and pityriasis versicolor (2.5%) were also common dermatoses. Acne vulgaris was the most common disorder in both female and male patients with a frequency of 21.7% and 23.5%, respectively. Conclusion: This study would be valuable in detecting the rate of skin diseases in spesific age groups.
