Perceptions of student faculty of education in relation to the factors influenced on the selection of the university

The main purpouse of this study is to identify the perceptions of students faculty of education in relation to the factors influenced on selection of university. The subject (n: 947) of this study were the students Faculty of Education of Abant Izzet Baysal University during 2005-2006 academic year. For this study, the data were collected through a questionnaire and for the analysis of the data, the mean and standard deviation scores were calculated and t-test and one-way anova were used. The results of this study indicated that for the selection of the school, according to the grade level and department variable, the university should be higly familiar with the students' interests, no meaningful difference was found between the students' perceptions and the family income level and the educational level of parents, however; meaningful differences were found between the students' perceptions and the grade level and the department of students.
