Özet
Amaç: Araştırma, Abant İzzet Baysal Üniversitesi (AİBÜ) 'nde öğrenim gören kız öğrencilerin primer dismenoreye ilişkin bilgi ve uygulamalarını belirlemek amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak yapılmıştır. Yöntem: AİBİTde araştırmanın evrenini oluşturan dört yıllık fakülte ve yüksekokullarda öğrenim gören 2191 kız öğrenci, üniversiteye giriş yıllarına göre tabakalara ayrılmış ve basit rastgele örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak seçilen 518 öğrenci örneklem kapsamına alınmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak anket formu kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS paket programında yüzdelikler, ortalama, One WayAnova ve t testi kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuçlar: Kız öğrencilerin %87.5'inin dismenore şikayeti yaşadıkları, dismenore yaşayan öğrencilerinin %74'ünün dismenore ile birlikte bel ağrısı (%78.8), karın ağrısı (%68.4), sinirlilik(%63.6) vb şikayetleri yaşadıkları belirlenmiştir. Sağlık eğitimi verilen bölümlerde okuyan, sağlık eğitimi alan, şiddetli dismenore ve dismenore ile birlikte başka şikayetler yaşayan kız öğrencilerin; dismenoreye ilişkin bilgi puan ortalamalarının yüksek olduğu ve farkın da istatistiksel açıdan önemli olduğu belirlenmiştir(p<0.05)
Objective: A descriptive study on knowledge and practices of female students of AIBU related to primary dismenorrhea Methods: 2191 female students, who had studied at AIBU's faculties and vocational high schools, have been divided into the ranks according to their entrances to the university, besides by using randomly selected method, 518 female subjects have been choosen, then they have been taken into subject scope. The acquired data have been evaluated on the software called SPSS programme, using percentages, mean values. One way Anova and t test (independent samples t test). Results: It has been stated that the majority of female students have had dysmenorrhea complaints (87.5%) and 74% of female students experienced dysmenorrhea have had other complaints together with dysmenorrhea. It has been found that the most widespread complaints are low back pain (78.8%), abdominal pain (68.4%) and nervous 63.6) female students. It has been determined that female students who have studied at the health departments, have had comprehensive knowledge on menstruation, have received health education have had always dysmenorrhea, have had high knowledge score means regarding dysmenorrhea, besides that the difference is of importance statiscally has also been pointed out. (p<0.05)
