Özet
GİRİŞ: Hemşirelik bölümü mezun profilinin bilinmesi, hemşirelik lisans eğitim programlarının misyon ve vizyonlarının düzenlenmesi açısından önemlidir. AMAÇ: Bu çalışmanın amacı, hemşirelik mezunlarının mezuniyet sonrası profillerini belirlemektir. YÖNTEM: Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel tipteki çalışmanın evrenini, 2001-2017 yılları arasında, bir hemşirelik lisans programını tamamlayan 736 mezun oluşturmuştur. Kendilerine ulaşılabilen ve çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden 273 mezun ile çalışma tamamlanmıştır. Çalışmanın verileri araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan anket formu ile toplanmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin değerlendirilmesinde tanımlayıcı istatistikler ve Ki kare testi kullanılmıştır. BULGULAR: Mezunların %88,3’ünün çalıştığı ve %73’ünün mezuniyet sonrası 0-6 ay içerisinde çalışmaya başladığı belirlenmiştir. Mezunların %39,4’ünün üniversite hastanesinde, %37,7’sinin dahili bilimlerde çalıştığı ve %78,4’ünün klinisyen hemşire olarak görev yaptığı görülmüştür. Mezunlar, öğrencilik döneminde hemşireliği ideal bir meslek olarak düşünüp meslekle ilgili olumlu algıya sahipken, mezuniyetten sonra mesleğin ideal olduğunu düşünenlerin ve olumlu mesleki algıya sahip olanların azaldığı saptanmıştır (p<0,001). SONUÇ: Mezunların çoğunluğu çalışmakta ve kamu kurumunda görev yapmaktadır. Mezunların mesleğe ilişkin algılarının mezuniyet sonrası değiştiği ve mesleğe ilişkin olumlu algının azaldığı görülmüştür.
INTRODUCTION: It is important to know the nursing department graduate profile so as to organize the mission and vision of nursing undergraduate education programs. AIM: The aim of this study is to determine the postgraduate profiles of nursing graduates. METHODS: The population of the descriptive and cross-sectional study consisted of 736 graduates who completed a nursing undergraduate program between 2001-2017. The study was completed with 273 graduates who could be reached and agreed to participate.in the study The study data were collected by a questionnaire form created by researchers. Descriptive statistics and chi-square test were used to evaluate the data. RESULTS: It was determined that 88.3% of the graduates were employed and 73% of them started to work within 0-6 months after graduation. Nursing school graduates were working in a university hospital (39.4%), department of internal disciplines (37.7%), and as clinician nurses (78.4%). Graduates consider nursing as an ideal profession and have a positive perception about the profession during their training as a nursing students.. However, after graduation, it was found that those who thought the profession to be ideal and those with positive professional perception decreased in number (p<0.001). CONCLUSION: The majority of the graduates work in public institutions. It was seen that graduates’ perceptions of the profession changed after graduation and the positive perception of the profession weakened.
