Most of the lipomas are located superficially or deeply in the skin, although, they also can be seen in gastrointestinal tract and are usally insidental findings in the submucosa or serosa of the small and large intestine. The solitary lipomas of colon have been reported to have a tendency to occur in the vicinity of ileocaecal valve or the ascending colon. Lipomatous poliposis is a rare “non-inherited gastrointestinal polyposis syndrome” associated with diffuse lipomatous polips of colon. Here we reported 2 cases of solitary colonic lipomatous polips at distal colon and a case of duodenal lipoma in order to emphasize the confusion in the terminology of lipoma and lipomatous polip.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessGastrointestinal TractSolitary lipomatous polyp or lipoma of gastrointestinal tract : 3 case reportsConference Object4512328328WOS:000249454600652Q2
