In the study conducted with case study, one of the qualitative research methods, the data were collected by semistructured interview technique. The participants of the study consisted of 10 special education teachers working in the special education classes of secondary schools affiliated to the Bolu Provincial Directorate of National Education in the 2018-2019 academic year. As a result of the study, it was revealed that teachers benefited from the Science textbook in determining the units and subjects suitable for students. In addition, it was seen that the teachers stated that they did not find the evaluation questions, activities and sentences in the book clear and understandable and the font and size of the book appropriate, and offered suggestions for designing a suitable book for students with special needs and simplifying the existing books. © 2022.
