While it is more prevalent in the developed world, in recent years it has been increasing in developing countries, as well. In an epidemiological study carried out in Turkey by the “Inflammatory Bowel Disease Society” through utilizing hospital records (1), the incidence of Crohn’s disease was determined as 1.4 and the prevalence as 7.7. These rates were underestimations and were higher than in Asia but lower than in Europe.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessCrohn’s DiseaseTurkish inflammatory bowel disease society recommendatıons on selected topıcs of Crohn’s DiseaseEditorial10.4318/tjg.2010.0059211787920549885WOS:000283606100022Q4
