A common view globally accepted in the general maritime studies having a premise of steam era could be similarly applied to the Ottoman maritime. The issues of maritime differed from matters before the industrial age, the treatments and the problems are also of concern in this article on the Ottoman context. As well as existing literature, different approaches and recommendations are suggested in terms of modern Turkish maritime history topics.
