dc.description.abstractBu çalışmada, Abant İzzet Baysal Üniversitesi Teknik Eğitim Fakültesi’nde okuyan öğrencilere ilişkin bir profil ortaya koymak amacıyla öğrencilerin geldikleri lise türü ve neden tercih ettiği, ortaöğretim başarı durumu, ailelerinin sosyoekonomik durumu ile Teknik Eğitim Fakültesi’ni tercih etme nedenleri ve geleceğe ilişkin beklentileri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu amaçla geliştirilen anket 306 öğrenciye uygulanmış, veriler SPSS for Windows programında analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre, birçok kişi ortaöğretimden sonra öğrenimini sürdürme arzusunda olup ilk denemede başarılı olmasa dahi üniversite sınavına girmeye devam etmektedir. Katılımcıların önemli bir bölümü okudukları alandan memnun değiller ve branşlarında teknik öğretmen olarak atamalarının yapılmasını istemektedirler. Teknik öğretmen olarak çalışmak isteyenlerin çoğunluğu iş güvencesi, rahatlık ve öğretmenliği saygın bir meslek olarak görmesi gibi nedenlerle tercih etmektedir.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to determine the profiles of the students studying at Abant İzzet Baysal University, Faculty of Technical Education. In order to produce profiles, the type of school the students graduated from and the reasons fortheir choices in branching, their academic achievement at school, socio-economical background, reasons for choosing Technical Education and their expectations of the future, are taken into account. The questionnaire developed for this purpose was applied to 306 students and the data been analyzed using SPSS for Windows. Results show that most students are willing to continue their education after secondary schools and even if they fail in their first attempt, they have continued to enter the university exam. Most of the participants are not pleased with the department they are studying in and would like to be appointed as technical teachers in their branches in the future. The students who intend to become technical teachers prefer this because of the comfort, guaranteed working conditions and because they think that teaching is a respected profession.en_US
