Özet
Turkey has a long history of disasters and humaninduced traumas. This situation, in addition to
increasing the traumatic effect in the society, also
led to the formation of an experienced mental
health staff. Although Turkish psychiatry tries to
respond more strongly in every new disaster, the
impact of the February 6 Kahramanmaraş earthquake is felt heavily both in the earthquake zone
and in Turkey due to intense out-migration. While
the 3rd week of the earthquake is almost over,
there is still no water, electricity or tents in many
regions
