Özet
The right and left internal carotid arteries of the obtained birds were injected with coloured-latex to picture and examine their patterns through the brain. They were present and equally prominent in all the cadavers examined. An anastomosis, hence, was observed between extracranially and intracranially coursing arteries. The intercarotid anastomosis was a potent and thick transverse connecting vessel between the right and left cerebral carotid arteries, resembling "H" shape on the Denizli rooster, domestic fowl, pheasant, and silver pheasant while a side-to-side anastomosis like "X" shape was observed on the turkey and goose. The basilar artery was constructed by only the right caudal ramus on the Denizli rooster, domestic fowl, and goose. However, it was constituted by only the left caudal ramus on the pheasant, silver pheasant, and turkey.
