dc.description.abstractBu çalışmanın amacı Özel Eğitim Öğrencilerinin mezuniyet sonrası istihdam beklentilerine ilişkin görüşlerinin belirlenmesidir. Bu çalışmanın evrenini 2006–2007 ögretim yılı bahar döneminde Abant İzzet Baysal Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Özel Eğitim bölümünde okuyan dördüncü sınıf öğrencileri (n=49) oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışma sırasında araştırma ile ilgili nitel veriler araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen görüşme sorularıyla ve 2006–2007 öğretim yılı bahar döneminde Abant İzzet Baysal Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Özel Eğitim Bölümünde okuyan dördüncü sınıf öğrencileri (n=49) ile yapılan görüşmelerle toplanmıstır. Bu çalışma sonucunda elde edilen sonuçlardan bazıları şunlardır: Katılımcılar özel eğitim bölümünde ögrenci olma nedenlerini puanı yetmemesi, açıkta kalmak istememeleri ve daha kolay istihdam edilmeleri şeklinde ifade etmişlerdir. Katılımcılar % 53,07’si mezun olduklarında öğretmen olarak atanmayı düşündüklerini, %46,93’ü düşünmediklerini ifade etmişlerdir. Katılımcıların % 24,48’i Milli Eğitim Bakanlığında, % 14,28’i (n=7) özel sektörde çalısmayı düşünmediklerini belirtmislerdir. Katılımcılar özel eğitim öğretmenligi bölümleri dışında başka bölümlerden mezun olanlarında MEB tarafından özel eğitim öğretmeni olarak atanmasını yanlış bir uygulama olduğunu düşünmektedirler. Hizmet içi eğitim kursları yoluyla özel eğitim öğretmeni olunması ile ilgili olarak haklarının yenildiği, bu şekilde atanan öğretmenlerin yeterli olamayacagı ve eğitimde kalitenin düştüğünü ifade etmektedirler.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to examine the perceptions of Special Education Department students after their graduation in relation to their employment expectations. The subjects of this study were the 4th year students (n=49) of the Special Education Department of Abant İzzet Baysal University, Education Faculty, in the spring semester of the 2006-2007 academic year. During the study, qualitative data were collected through interviews questions developed by the researcher in the spring semester of 2006-2007 academic year. Some of the findings of the present study can be listed as follows: The participants stated that they were the students of this department as they did not get a high enough grade in the University Entrance Examination; do not want to be unemployed,and that they find employment easily. 53.07 % of them believed that they will be employed as teachers when they graduate; 46.93 % of them thought they will not be employed as teachers; 24.48 % of the participants do not want to work for Ministry of National Education , 14,28 % of them (n=7) do not want to work for private sector. The participants believed that employing the graduates of other departmets as special education teachers by Ministry of National Education is a wrong enforcement. According to them, it is unfair to employ people as special education teachers through in-service training programs and believed that they are not qualified as special education teachers and they decrease the quality of special education.en_US
