Özet
The genus Paralimnocythere Carbonnel, 1965 consists of ten or eleven living and seven fossil species (MARTENS 1992, MEISCH 2000). According to the recent review of the non-marine Ostracoda fauna of Turkey by ALTINSAÇLI & GRIFFITHS (2002), the only species of this genus found in Turkey is Paralimnocythere relicta (Lilljeborg, 1863), which was re-corded at a freshwater dam near Istanbul (GÜLEN 1985; published as Limnocythere relicta). The previous paper describes the record of a further species of this genus, Paralimnocythere psammophila (FLÖSSNER, 1965), which is new for Turkey.
