Özet
The members of the European Union (EU) have declared their aspiration to achieve a common voice in foreign policy, which was labelled as the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) in Maastrict Treaty. The debate started whether the idea of the CFSP contradicts NATO, which has played a basic role in Western security since the Cold War. Non-EU member NATO states' role in the European security also raised another question. In this article, the effects of the CFSP on Europe's security and NATO will be dealt with. With the evaluation of the German, British and French perspectives about CFSP, the CFSP's effects on United States-EU relations will also be analysed.
