Özet
Barış eğitimi, çatışma, savaş ve şiddetin önlenmesi, sorunların barışçıl yollarla çözümlenmesi için çocuklarda, gençlerde, yetişkinlerde davranış değişikliği yaratacak bilgi, beceri, tutum ve değerlerin sunulmasıdır. Bu bilgi ve becerilerin sunulmadan önce koşulların da düzenlenmesi gerekmektedir. Bu koşulların düzenlenmesinde kurum ve kuruşlara görevler düşmektedir. Bu araştırmanın amacı, Dünya ve Türkiye'de barış ve barış eğitimine yönelik faaliyet gösteren kurum ve kuruluşları tanıtmak, yapmış oldukları çalışmaları incelemek ve elde edilen bilgiler ışığında önerilerde bulunmaktır. Araştırma betimsel bir çalışma olup, doküman analizi incelemesi yoluyla veriler elde edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre, yapılan çalışmaların hedef kitlesini çocuklar, gençler ve aileler oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmalarda, gündelik hayatla ilişkilendirilen etkinliklerin öğrencilere aktarılması, planlanan bilgilerin öğretilmesinde etkin olmuştur. Barış eğitimi daha çok çocukların kendi performanslarını sergileyebilecekleri festivaller, gençlik kampları, müzik, drama, edebiyat, resim gibi sanatsal faaliyetler ve seminerler içermektedir. Ayrıca öğrencilerin yeteneklerini sergilemelerine olanak vermenin, olumlu sonuçlar meydana getirdiği gözlenmiştir. Ülkemizde de bu konudaki çalışmalar, projeler, yaz kampları, sanatsal faaliyetler arttırılmalıdır.
Peace education involves presenting knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that would create behavioral changes in children, teenagers and adults for preventing conflicts, wars and violence, and solving the problems in peaceful ways. It is also required to arrange the conditions before presenting these knowledge and skills. Agencies and institutes have some responsibilities in arranging these conditions. The objective of this study is to introduce agencies and institutes conducting activities of Peace and Peace Education in the world and in Turkey, examine their studies and make suggestions in the light of the acquired data. In this descriptive study, the data were acquired via the method of document analysis examination. In this context, the web pages and written materials of institutions conducting studies on peace education in the world and in Turkey were examined. According to the findings that were obtained as a result of the study, the intended population of studies consists of children and teenagers. The studies highlight the transfer of daily life activities to students and the teaching of intended knowledge. Peace education mainly involves festivals and youth camps where children could display their performance, as well as artistic activities like music, drama, literature, painting, and seminars. Besides, it has been concluded that enabling students to display their talents will have positive outcomes. In our country; studies, projects, summer camps and artistic activities on this issue should be increased.
