Anomalous production of fourth-family up-quarks at future lepton hadron colliders
(Edp Sciences S A, 2004) Alan, Ahmet Turan; Şenol, Abdülkadir; Çakır, Orhan
We investigate the production of fourth-family up-type quarks using effective Lagrangian approach at future lepton-hadron colliders and study the kinematical characteristics of the signal with an optimal set of cuts. We obtain the upper mass limits 500 GeV at THERA and one TeV at Linac x LHC.

CP violating asymmetries in the flavour changing single top quark production
(Iop Publishing Ltd, 2003) Alan, Ahmet Turan; Şenol, Abdülkadir; Taşçı, Ahmet Tolga
CP violating effects in the single top quark production via flavour changing neutral current (FCNC) reactions e(+)e(-) --> tq and e(+)e(-) --> tq (here q refers to charm and up quarks) are studied. The effective Lagrangian description of the FCNC interactions is used. A numerical analysis is performed for some next linear colliders. CP violating asymmetries for the number of q and 4 quarks are obtained to be of order 10(-2)-10(-3) depending on the CM energy.

Effects of the CP odd dipole operators on gluino production at hadron colliders
(Amer Physical Soc, 2005) Alan, Ahmet Turan
We present the cross sections for the hadroproduction of gluinos by taking into account the CP odd dipole operators in supersymmetric QCD. The dependence of the cross sections on these operators is analyzed for the hadron colliders the Tevatron (root S =1.8TeV) and the CERN LHC (root S = 14 TeV). The enhancement of the hadronic cross section is obviously mass dependent and for a 500 GeV gluino is up to 16% (over 73 pb) at the LHC while it is 8% ( over 0.63 fb) at the Tevatron.

Exotic quark production in ep collisions
(Elsevier Science Bv, 2006) Alan, Ahmet Turan; Şenol, Abdülkadir; Karagöz, Nurettin
We investigate the single production and decay of charge -1/3, weak isosinglet vectorlike exotic D quarks in string inspired E-6 theories at future ep colliders; THERA with root s = 1 TeV, L = 40 pb(-1) and CERN Large Hadron Electron Collider (LHeC) with root s = 1.4 TeV, L = 104 pb-1. We found that an analysis of the decay modes of D should probe the mass ranges of 100-450 GeV and 100-1200 GeV at the center of mass energies, I and 1.4 TeV, respectively.

Flavour violating ?-decays in magnetic interaction and E6 models
(1998) Alan, Ahmet Turan; Aydın, Zeki; Sultansoy, Saleh
In the view of future c - ?-factories, we report an analysis of the rare decays of the ? lepton via ? ? ?e?, ? ? e???, ? ? ???? and ? ? ee? in the two models, i.e., in Barut's magnetic interaction model (MIM) and in an E6 model proposed by Gürsey and his collaborators. The energy distributions of one of the final leptons are given for both models. Numerical estimates reveal that these decays can be as large as 10-6, which may be observed in LEP experiments or at other c - ? factories.

Heavy lepton production at Linac circle times LHC
(Jagiellonian Univ Press, 2004) Alan, Ahmet Turan; Taşçı, Ahmet Tolga; Çakır, Orhan
We investigate the production, signatures and backgrounds of new heavy leptons via string inspired E-6 model at the proposed Linaccircle timesLHC. Assuming maximal mixing, the production rate is found to be 2000 events per year for masses up to 3 TeV.

Lepton flavor changing neutral current processes at lepton-hadron colliders
(Acta Physica Polonica B, Jagellonian Univ, Inst Physics, 2002) Alan, Ahmet Turan; Şenol, Abdülkadir
We investigate the potentials of high energy lepton-proton colliders to detect a flavor changing I - l' - Z or I - l' - gamma coupling from the processes ep --> mu(tau)X and mup --> tauX. For the I - l' - Z coupling we consider string inspired E-6 model whereas I - l' - gamma coupling is analyzed in the framework of Anomalous Magnetic Moment type Interaction (AMMI) model.

Possibility of searching for fourth generation neutrino at future ep colliders
(Elsevier Science Bv, 2006) Şenol, Abdulkadir; Alan, Ahmet Turan
We investigate the production of fourth generation neutrino in the context of a new e nu(4)W magnetic dipole moment type interaction in ep collisions at future lepton-hadron colliders. We have obtained the mass limits of 700 GeV for THERA (root S = 1 TeV) and 2.8 TeV for LC circle times LHC (root S = 3.74 TeV).

Production and decay of sneutrino and squarks at lepton-hadron colliders
(Royal Swedish Acad Sciences, 2002) Alan, Ahmet Turan; Sultansoy, Saleh
We investigate the potentials of future high energy lepton-proton colliders to detect supersymmetric particles in the charged current type lp --> (v) over tilde (l)(q) over tildeX l = e. p. reactions. We also study their decays by using the mass spectrum given in the Technical Design Report of ATLAS Collaboration (SUGRA Point 6 corresponding to large tan beta).

The 'right' sneutrino as the LSP
(Iop Publishing Ltd, 2004) Alan, Ahmet Turan; Sultansoy, Saleh
We show that the 'right' sneutrino can be the lightest supersymmetric particle. Clearly, this possibility will drastically change decay chains of SUSY particles. The sneutrino production at the next linear colliders has been analysed in this scenario.

Single and pair production of heavy leptons in E-6 model
(World Scientific Publ Co Pte Ltd, 2006) Alan, Ahmet Turan; Taşçı, Ahmet Tolga; Karagöz, Nurettin
We investigate the single and pair production of new heavy leptons via string inspired E-6 model at future linear colliders. Signal and corresponding backgrounds for these leptons are studied. We have found that single production of heavy leptons is more relevant than that of pair production, as expected. For a maximal mixing value of 0.1, the upper mass limits of 2750 GeV in the single case and 1250 GeV in the pair production case are obtained at root s = 3 TeV collider option.

Unparticle physics in single top signals
(EPL Association, European Physical Society, 2008) Alan, Ahmet Turan; Pak, N. K.; Şenol, Abdulkadir
We study the single production of top quarks in e(+)e(-), ep and pp collisions in the context of unparticle physics through the Flavor Violating (FV) unparticle vertices and compute the total cross-sections for single top production as functions of scale dimension d(u). We find that among all, LHC is the most promising facility to probe the unparticle physics via single top quark production processes. Copyright (C) EPLA, 2008.

Unparticle physics in top pair signals at the LHC and ILC
(Epl Association, European Physical Society, 2008) Alan, Ahmet Turan; Pak, N. K.
We study the effects of unparticle physics in the pair productions of top quarks at the LHC and ILC. By considering vector, tensor and scalar unparticle operators, as appropriate, we compute the total cross-sections for pair production processes depending on the scale dimension d(U). We find that the existence of unparticles would lead to measurable enhancements on the SM predictions at the LHC. In the case of ILC this may become two orders of magnitude larger than that of SM, for smaller values of d(U), a very striking signal for unparticles. Copyright (C) EPLA, 2008
